Asylum Seekers

If you are an Unaccompanied Minor seeking asylum you are entitled to the same support as a Child in Care or a Care Leaver, including advocacy.

Advocates at YAP have supported Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers to:

  • Move in to independent accommodation
  • Challenge their age assessment
  • Attend meetings
  • Change placement
  • Change social worker

If you would like to make an appointment to see an advocate you can email us at help@bhyap.org.uk, call or text on 07870168948 or ask anyone, including a friend to contact us on your behalf.

If you need help with your English we will provide an interpreter for your advocacy session.
