Youth Council

Brighton & Hove Youth Council represents the views and listens to the voices of young people in the city.

The Youth Council aims to represent all young people’s views and opinions and influence decisions made by politicians, councillors and other local and national decision-makers. They run campaigns about important issues and hold regular events and conferences.

BHYC is always looking for new members for two reasons:

  • to accurately represent our vibrant community

  • to be the voice of young people.

To become a BHYC member, you must be:

  • a young person who is a resident or attends a school in Brighton & Hove, aged between 11 and 18 years old.
